I don’t remember when the first snow fell this year, but this weekend we’ve had heavy snowfalls in Oslo. So if you are wondering, if we have enough snow to go skiing, I think the following pictures can speak for themselves…
our mailbox
our garbagecans (and my shadow)
our car somewhere underneath all that white stuff
our driveway after I shoveled a path last night
part of our garden with car and driveway

We never got around to put our skis on and go for a walk, because we were busy clearing our driveway. An unknown neighbor came to help with his motorized snow blower, but we were almost done. He and his wife invited us over for a cop of coffee instead. Luckily I had baked a cake this morning. So we went over and sat together for a couple of hours. Nice getting to know some people around here.
Yesterday, I helped a member of the choir move. With all that white stuff coming down from above, it was a hard task. It took him approximately 3 hours to get the van up the hill to his house. Sliding back, getting stuck, crashing the neighbor’s fence, smashing a rear light, getting pulled out by a rescue service…
